Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who we are

Pokhara Nomad connects visiting remote workers with vetted local services in Pokhara, Nepal — accommodation, cafes, scooter rentals, transport and activities. We act as a booking platform and coordinator; the services themselves are delivered by independent local partners.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform, harass members or partners, or attempt fraud.

3. Bookings and payments

Prices are shown in Nepali Rupees (NPR) unless stated otherwise. A booking is a request until marked confirmed. Payments are processed by eSewa, Khalti or card gateways — we never store your card or wallet credentials. Commission is included in displayed prices; there are no hidden fees at handover.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Pending bookings can be cancelled free of charge from your account page. Confirmed bookings follow the cancellation terms shown at checkout for that service. Landing Pack cancellations more than 72 hours before your flight are refunded minus payment-gateway fees. Passes are non-refundable once their start date has passed.

5. Scooters and activities

You must hold a licence valid for riding in Nepal and wear a helmet — it's the law and our partners will insist. Adventure activities (kayaking, paragliding, hikes) carry inherent risk; partners provide safety equipment and briefings, and you participate at your own risk. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers your activities.

6. Community conduct

Events and the member directory exist to help solo travellers connect safely. Harassment, discrimination or unwanted contact leads to removal without refund. Report concerns to us and we'll act quickly.

7. Liability

We work hard to verify partners (including testing cafe wifi ourselves), but we can't guarantee uninterrupted utilities, weather, road conditions or third-party service quality. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected booking.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site and take effect for bookings made after the change. Nepali law governs these terms.
